On Wednesday, April 16, the church body voted by written ballot (96% in favor) to extend the call to Pastor Matt Morrell to become the next senior pastor of Fourth Baptist Church. On Thursday morning, April 17, Pastor Morrell formally accepted the call.

Pastor Morrell plans to conclude his ministry at Chisago Lakes Baptist Church by mid-May and begin his ministry at Fourth Baptist on June 1. An installation service is planned for Sunday, June 8 (more details of this service are forthcoming).

Thanks be to God for His providential leading during the search for a senior pastor. The pulpit committee encourages all church members to continuing praying for Fourth Baptist during this transition, and to earnestly prayer for Pastor Morrell, his wife, their children, and especially for the member of our sister church, Chisago Lakes Baptist Church.
