Matt Morrell - Senior Pastor

Matt graduated from Northland International University in 1998. He then earned his Master of Divinity degree from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002 and his Doctor of Ministry from Northland International University in 2010. During his seminary years, he served as the assistant pastor at Chisago Lakes Baptist Church in Chisago City, MN. In 2002, Matt accepted the interim pastorate at Chisago Lakes Baptist; after 10 months, he was called to be the full-time senior pastor. He served there until May 2008, when he was called to Fourth Baptist.

Matt has spoken and taught in multiple venues at home and overseas, including ministry at Central Baptist Seminary's Romania extension campus and at Faith Baptist Bible College in Cochin, India. He has served on the board of the Minnesota Baptist Association and currently serves on the board of Central Baptist Seminary.

 

Gary Blessman - Business Office

Gary graduated from the University of Southern Colorado with a degree in accounting, and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters in Church Administration. Previously, Gary was the bursar at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the controller at Mount Senario College.

 

Roger Kilian - Music and Administration

Roger is a graduate of Baptist Bible College of Pennslyvania, and has served at Fourth Baptist Church since 1988. His many responsibilities include oversight of the Missions Committee and Publicity, and coordination of all major church events such as the semi-annual Musicales.

 

David Levy - Evangelism and Discipleship

David is a graduate of Northland Baptist Bible College. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Central Baptist Seminary in 2005. Before Fourth Baptist, David served as a youth pastor in northern Illinois for seven years, then three years as a senior pastor in northern Indiana. David was reared in a Jewish home and received Christ at the age of 17.

 

Jim McLeish - Golden Agers

Jim is a graduate of Pillsbury Baptist Bible College and Central Baptist Seminary. Jim worked with the Fourth Baptist youth during his seminary years. Following his graduation, he planted a church in Alexandria, MN and served as pastor there for over 25 years. In addition to his Fourth Baptist role, Jim also serves as director for the Minnesota chapter of Baptists for Life. Jim and his wife, Terry, have five children.

Jason graduated from Northland Baptist Bible College in 2002, and graduated from Central Baptist Seminary in 2007 with a Master of Divinity degree. Jason and his wife, Beth, have four children.

Alan Hodak - Christian School Administrator

Alan brings 23 years of experience as a Christian School teacher and administrator in Arizona, Michigan, and Minnesota to Fourth Baptist Christian School. He has an earned Masters Degree as well as certifications and endorsements with the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). In addition to these qualifications, Mr. Hodak has pastoral, teaching, coaching, and business experience.   Alan and his wife, Allyson, have five children.
